Online Registration Ends October 26th

The Black Tie 40th Anniversary of Chi Delta Tau will be celebrated on Saturday, October 30, 2004, from 7 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. at the San Antonio Country Club during Trinity University's Alumni Weekend. The event will serve as the culmination of our $50,000+ 2004 Capital Campaign, and we will honor Dr. OZ White and the Charter Members of Chi Delta Tau.

Your support of the 2004 Campaign for the OZ White Scholarship is important. You may make a gift to the Campaign, simultaneously when registering for 40th.

After October 1, the special ticket prices for 40th for Campaign Donors** will be $125 per couple or $70 per person. Even though our principal purpose in holding 40th is to raise funds for our permanent scholarship endowment, we understand that some may not be able to make an Associates contribution to the Campaign. For those not making a contribution to the Campaign, general admission to the event will be $175 per couple or $100 per person. We will have a cash bar, and each ticketed guest will receive two complimentary drink tickets upon entry. Additional tickets may be purchased from the club. Hors d'oeuvers will be served.

In 2003, we began to raise funds in support of the 40th Anniversary from Underwriters to offset the cost of tickets, while improving the quality of the 40th. To-date, we have raised $1,000 each from 18 supporters, and are still seeking more support. Admission to the event for two is included with each gift of $1,000 or more. Additionally, we are asking for support for the event from others who are able to contribute at the following levels: Sponsor ($500), Benefactor ($250), and Patron ($100)***.

All gifts at these levels made by October 22, 2004 will be recognized at the event. Gifts to the Campaign received by October 1 will be recognized on a special plaque to be presented to OZ. All donations are tax-deductible less any value received, and all net proceeds will go to benefit the Foundation's scholarship endowment.

**In order to be considered a Campaign Donor for 2004, a donor must make a gift of at least $50 to the 2004 Campaign for the OZ White Scholarship. Giving levels for the Campaign will be Consideration ($50), Cooperation ($100), Comradeship ($250), and Loyalty ($500). Additionally, donors making gifts at $1,000 or more will be recognized at one of the following capital donor levels: Platinum ($5,000), Gold ($2,500), and Silver ($1,000). All donors will be prominently recognized in print at the event.

***Donations to the 40th Anniversary are considered to be separate from gifts to the Campaign, since all gifts to the Campaign go to the direct benefit of the scholarship endowment, and not the 40th. Accordingly, a donor must make a gift to the Campaign in order to qualify for Foundation Associate pricing for tickets. Donations to the event alone, other than the Underwriter level, do not qualify the donor to receive special consideration regarding admission.

All hotels have a reservation deadline of September 29th for the special rates listed above. All of the hotels listed above will be served by our complimentary shuttle bus service. Hotels not listed above will not be served by the shuttle. Please note that the shuttles will only run between the hotel route and the country club. The shuttle will not make unscheduled stops, and will not deviate from its planned route.

If you plan to utilize the shuttle service, please indicate in the comment field of the registration form where you plan to stay, and how many people will be in your party.
We expect to have a limited number of taxi cabs available for hire at the country club around the time the gala ends.

The San Antonio Country Club is located at 4100 N. New Braunfels at Hildebrand, due east of Trinity University and US 281.

OTHER ACTIVITIES-
We will be working to plan other events around Alumni Weekend. Of particular interest will be Trinity's 3rd Annual All-Alumni Golf Tournament to be held the afternoon of Friday, October 29, 2004. Registration for the Chi Delta Tau 40th Anniversary Golf Team closed on October 1, but you may still register to play as an individual through the Alumni Office if space is still available. The tournament is scheduled to be played at the Hyatt Hill Country Golf Club starting with registration at noon.
